United in Pride, Inspired by Freedom”
St Isabel’s High School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great patriotic spirit, enthusiasm and pride.
The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Sayli Nanaware, an esteemed ex-student of St Isabel’s High School and now a dentist. This was followed by a soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram” played on the flute by a student. The school band then led everyone in the singing of the National Anthem.
A colourful and vibrant cultural programme was presented by the students. They performed patriotic songs and dances that filled the atmosphere with national pride. The Lezim and Kavayat performances showcased the students’ discipline, coordination and enthusiasm. The RSP students presented an impressive marching display, followed by a spectacular performance by the school band.
The Chief Guest, Mrs Sayli Nanaware, addressed the students with an inspiring and motivating speech. She encouraged them to value their education, remain disciplined and responsible, and contribute positively to the nation.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
The Independence Day celebration was a memorable and enriching experience. The children returned with a renewed sense of patriotism, discipline, responsibility and love for the nation, carrying with them values that will inspire them to become responsible citizens of tomorrow.
