St Isabel’s High School organised its 70th Annual Sports Day at the University Grounds on 9th November 2023.The students were very excited about the events and the
activities carried out throughout the event. Miss Aster Gonsalves was present as the Chief Guest of the event. The Ground area was decorated and it felt like a festival.
The parents of all the students were invited to the event.
The sports day event was inaugurated through the flame lighting ceremony, in which, the torch was carried by students who have bestperformed in the sports competitions at different levels. The sports day began with a March Past of all four houses followed by the band display.
After March past, the students of the different houses competed against each other in various sports. The event included sports like 100m Race,
200m Race, Relay, Tug of war, and some others. Some of the sport events took place in the preceding week. In addition to this, for the
students from classes 1 to 4, games like the Charlie Chaplin race ,Hawaiian race, butterfly race were organized.
All the houses were awarded points on the basis of this performance and several criteria. As the day ended, prizes were awarded to the individual winners
and best house was declared winners as well. In the end, the principal addressed the students and the parents, appreciating the efforts
and enthusiasm of all the students towards the event, and also congratulated the winning students and the winning house for all their efforts.
